Wilderness First Aid Training on March 14/15/18

One of the ASMs of Troop 18 has organized a Wilderness First Aid class for folks who can’t make it to the AAC-organized course, and there are still openings.
The course is spread over three days:  March 14 & 15 from 5:30pm - 9:30pm and March 18 from 9:00am - 5:00pm. 
Cost is $125 total / For every registered adult, a scout can take the course for only $75.
Must be CPR/AED current and minimum 14 years old (if needed, CPR/AED is also offered from 2:00pm-5:00pm on Wednesday March 14 only)

Scouting For Food Kick-Off

The Scouting for Food kick-off is next week, January 12th at the District Roundtable meeting (7:30pm at Briarcliff UMC). We ask that everyone be there to hear about the program, learn the logistics, and help us get started collecting food for our community! American Heart Asso. CPR/AED Training Jan. 21 @ DUMC

Hightower Trail Scouters,

One of the Asst. Scoutmasters at Troop 226 is offering a makeup class for CPR/AED for their Troop and would like to extend it for the rest of the District.   Lance Franklin is fully trained and certified from the American Heart Assoc. and will be issuing cards from the AHA, which are fully recognized by the BSA.  They have 8 adults already signed up, but there is room for 8 more.  He will also set up a training program for any Troop or Pack that can put together 16 participants.
