United Methodist Academy of Scouting

United Methodist  Academy of Scouting (UMAS) 
April 14, 2018 8:30 am – 3:30 pm  

Location: Peachtree Rd UMC (3180 Peachtree Rd, Atlanta, GA 30305, Grace Fellowship Hall) Participants:  Scout Leaders, Scout Coordinators (CORs) and Clergy. The UMAS is an adult training conference for Boy Scout & Girl Scout leaders interested in building the Duty-to-God component of their Scout programs.  It is also designed for Clergy interested in starting a Scout program (Boy Scout and Girl Scout) or a Big Brothers Big Sisters program at their church.   


Hosted by UMCOS/ Open to Everyone:  Although this Academy is conducted by the United Methodist Committee on Scouting, it is open to leaders in all faiths who are interested in expanding Duty-to-God in their Scout programs.  


Program:  12 courses are offered with 5 periods available to select the ones you’d like to take.  A lunch period is also included. 


Cost:  $0 (Free). Includes patch. Donations accepted to provide P.R.A.Y. scholarships for Packs, Troops and Churches.  - Lunch available (Chick-Fil-A meal) ($6).  Polo Shirts ($15). -

Don't forget our Recharter turn in Dec 2 8-11am at the Volunteer Service Center.  Getting your charter  renewal done is key...All charters must be renewed this year before Dec. 31.

Recharter is right around the corner! To ensure that every unit understands the process and feels confident we will be holding a Recharter training at theVolunteer Service Center (1800 Circle 75 Parkwayon Monday, October 16th from 7PM- 8PM
